Sketch Challenge with a Twist

At the Burlap and Buttercups blog, there's a sketch challenge with a twist going on. Take a look at the sketch:

For the twist, there's two options: use a cell phone photo and/or use paper as an embellishment.

(Supplies: Card stock by Stampin' Up! Paint by Ranger. Shimmer ink by Mister Hueys for American Crafts. Button by Making Memories. All other supplies by Echo Park.)

What I love about this layout: I got to play with paint. It doesn't show up in the photo, but those splatters are paint mixed with shimmer spray ink. I used some more of the remnants I have from last year's Springtime collection by Echo Park, which I've almost used up, now. (I've gotten so much scrappin' mileage out of that one collection pack!)  I also stitched a border on this page, because it felt a bit plain, like it needed at least one more detail. The photo was taken with the tres cool Hipstamatic app on my iPhone.

Check out the Burlap and Buttercups challenge right here. And be sure to check out the sneaks of the April kit here and here.
