First Spring Walk - 2019

Spring has arrived in Southeast Michigan, and it is delicious. Soft air that's warm but not hot, with cool breezes that are cool but not cold, and bright, plentiful sunshine beckoned us outside yesterday to take our first walk of the season at our favorite park.

Right inside the park entrance, this dazzling bright daffodil welcomed us.

The trees are still bare, but soon there will be brand new unfurling leaves.

It's hard to tell how steep this hill is from the photo, but it really kicks my ass.

Here I go...

By this time, we'd almost gotten our breath back.

Us, in the spring sunshine.

Here, the brown, fallow fields that will be full of garden plots bursting with green in the months to come.


As the weather continues to warm up, we will be taking many, many more walks, soaking up the fresh air and sunshine, and all the natural beauty our favorite park has to offer.
